Come and learn how to listen to and care for your body and mind under stress. Gain tools like body awareness, breathing and movement exercises, and self-massage. We provide dinner, a safe space, and tips from a traditional Chinese medicine acupuncturist Pauline Sok Yin Hwang.
This workshop is open to immigrants and refugees who self-identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans, Queer and Questioning.
When: Same session offered on Tuesday June 3rd or Wednesday June 18, 2014 (you choose), 6:00pm-8:30 pm on both days.
Where: Centre for Women and Trans People at University of Toronto. 563 Spadina Avenue, Room 100 (North Borden Building). Wheelchair accessible via Bancroft Ave. TTC tokens provided. Child care and ASL interpretation available on request . Scent free space.

Workshop Facilitator: Pauline Sok Yin Hwang is an acupuncturist, community organizer, and self-care coach, focusing on ‘care for caregivers and changemakers.’ Traditional Chinese medical systems have helped us effectively heal our bodies, minds, emotions and spirits for over 5000 years.
